"I think Waldorf schools are very much in synch with the notion of Conceptual Age and the ideas of “A Whole New Mind”. They foster internal motivation in students, as well as mastery and persistence. They teach the habits of the heart that children need to do well in life after school."

~ Daniel Pink author of A Whole New Mind: Why Right Brainers will Rule the Future

Following an intensive study of systems and environments that provide the healthiest possible learning environment and maximum opportunity for growth, learning, and development in students, WHSP created and follows an innovative “authentic assessment” policy whose key goals are to:

  1. Ensure that students are evaluated on articulated, visible and sound learning goals
  2. Encourage students to strive for excellence in order to reach their highest potential in all endeavors rather than do just enough to arrive at an arbitrary end
  3. Foster a healthy learning environment free of unproductive stress, competition, and exclusively external barometers of success.

After each semester, students are provided with a narrative report from each teacher that details their progress towards a given set of course objectives outlined in the course syllabus. Graded transcripts are available upon request.
